JOHN PEMBERTON

John Pemberton is a registered patent attorney representing clients in all phases of patent preparation and prosecution before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in a wide variety of technologies, including computer hardware, software, Internet and business methods, electronics, and mechanical systems. Specifically, he prepares and prosecutes patent applications, conducts prior art searching and analysis, and offers litigation support for intellectual property related issues such as non-infringement and patent invalidity opinions. Mr. Pemberton also represents clients on other intellectual property matters including trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and related licensing and contractual matters. In addition, he advises clients regarding business strategies to secure intellectual property rights through interaction with U.S. and foreign patent offices via the Patent Cooperation Treaty. His experience as a prosecutor and litigator allows him to draft quality patent applications that are able to survive litigation.

Mr. Pemberton holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from McMurry University with a minor in Computer Science, as well as an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan School of Law.
